MENAGE A TROIS... ENCORE UNE FOIS

11/06/03: The OLCC are set to compete in another triangular tournament on the tour to the Loire Valley in September.

Tour manager Charles Allan has revealed that a club from Weston-super-Mare have also been invited to play Saumur CC on the weekend of September 20/21 and a three-way round-robin series of matches between the teams is expected to be staged.

The OLCC's last tour to Saumur in 2000 saw a triangular competition featuring the hosts, the OLCC and Roehampton CC from south-west London. Each side played two fixtures of 30 overs per innings over the two days. OLCC beat Saumur in the first match but lost to Roehampton in the second.

Full details of the 2003 Loire Valley tour will be released later this summer.
