UP FOR THE CUP

13/06/03: Brewers Cup captain Paul Newell Price has named the OLCC side to face the Old Aldenhamians.

The team shows three changes from the one which was eliminated from the 2002 competition following a 176-run defeat to the Old Cranleighans.

Out of the XI go Andrew Moss, Phil Samuels and Michael Thomas, the latter of whom is ruled out for the entire season due to a 'working' holiday in Turkey.

Following his fine early-season form, Dayalan Doraisamy is recalled to the Cup side after a six-year absence despite not even being named in the provisional squad of 20. Meanwhile John Acland-Hood receives his third call-up, while David Bibby is set to make his debut in the competition.

Skipper Newell Price told the OLCC website: "I have every confidence in this side. It could be the first time in OLCC history that every member of the announced team actually turns up on the day!

"Any volunteers to be 12th man would be gratefully accepted. For those not selected, please do keep yourselves on stand-by, in case we get any injuries or cry-offs. Any support would be greatly appreciated on the day."
