HAPPY NEW YEAR
11/01/04: A full list of the OLCC's fixtures for the forthcoming season has now been published following the Winter Meeting.
The highlight of 2004 sees the West Country Tour, a successful feature of the OLCC calendar since 1982, extended to five days for the first time in the club's history. The revamped schedule incorporates our existing games at Ditcheat (now on Monday), Uplyme (Tuesday), Sherborne (Wednesday) and the Wessex Stags (Thursday) and a one-off fixture against Julian Fitter's XI, at North Perrott on the Friday, to mark his 60th birthday.
The are two other new fixtures scheduled, against Teletext and the Celeriacs, while the OLs will play the Old Brutonians in the Brewers Cup first round.
The fixture list was rubber-stamped at Sunday's Winter Meeting, which was attended by nine members.
After the meeting most of the party adjourned to the Black Boy for lunch before attending the London Irish v Narbonne match at the Madejski Stadium, won by the home side by 20 points to 13.
