31/05/05: A mystery guest spared the OLCC the ignominy of their lowest ever total in the defeat by Moreton.

Having been set 120 to win, the OLs were in complete disarray at 30 for eight, batting with only 10 men, with the prospect of being shot out for less than the club record score of 55 looming very large.

Enter then one S Wilson, who put together a barnstorming innings of 51 not out in a stand of 59 with Julian Shackel, whose departure for 10 brought the innings to a close on 89 and sealed a 30-run defeat.

Earlier, Shackel had recorded figures of 4-36 - his 14th haul of four wickets or more in a match for the OLCC - while John Crosfield took 3-16 as the hosts were bowled out for 119.
