We could just leave it with 'The Shot'. Left handed batter, David's signature
stroke can be played to almost any delivery (or so he says). Resembling the
shot of a man whose arm and upper body movement are constrained by a plaster
cast the bat swings round his planted front leg towards square leg. This risk
ridden shot usual works at least a couple of times before the bowler straightens
up and the timbers are felled. With the ball David is a useful left arm finger
spinner who bowls his straight-breaks with a lovely high action and delicate
changes in pace. The variation David provides has been a key tool for the OLCC
in the field. PRS
