Dirty and devious, efficient and inscrutable. He's our Club Secretary and a
sharp but murky gem. A generous cricketer; with the ball, he is something of
a craftsman, using swing and seam subtley and at snappy pace, as long he's not
too knackered.
With
a bat in his hand he is more generous still. Batting for him is a performance
art, and runs are often incidental. As likely to score an exhilarating 34 or
a ridiculous 3. He's a very good cutter but can sometimes be over ambitious
with it. With Phil at the wicket, all results are available, but a draw is unlikely.
