Q:
What did you most enjoy about the OLCC Dinner 2000?
The
second of our exclusive OLCC online polls attracted some heavy voting, with
the lead changing hands frequently throughout the voting period.
In fact the organisers had reason to believe that substantial vote-rigging in
a manner that would have made the Bush family proud was taking place and have
managed to trace the offending users to an ISP address in Hampshire. Further
enquiries are ongoing.
As a result the poll results have been "seasonally adjusted" to take into account
the number of votes that were not cast in a valid manner.
The resounding winner of the vote to find the most enjoyable aspect of the 2000
Dinner was Phil's speech. Commenting on his victory, the Hon. Sec. exclusively
told the OLCC website: "It has come as an unexpected surprise to be the
victor of the poll.
"It is obvious that the heartfelt depth of the material used in my speech was warmly received far beyond the confines of the dining room. I would just like to thank the hundreds of people who took the time to vote for me."
