2024 Fixture list released

A big thank you to Tom Gillmor for arranging the fixtures once again this year. Another summer of cricket sorted...let's hope it's a dry one.

The fixture list can be found here

Good job the covers were on.

FRENCH CRICKET

The OLCC rounded off the 2023 season with a very enjoyable tour to Nantes.

Converging by plane, boat, car and motor home, OLCC members proceeded to enjoy some excellent French wine and food, enjoyed some ‘interesting’ exchanges with a French fan while watching Ireland vs New Zealand rugby, and made the most of the nightlife on offer.

We even found some time to play some cricket, and on a wicket that helped bowlers more than batsmen managed a thrilling tie in the first game, and a competitive if unsuccessful performance in the second.

14/10/2023 - Tied with Saumur

15/10/2023 – Lost to Saumur by 4 wickets

2023 Devon AND cornwall tour

Another successful tour for the OLCC winning 2/3 fixtures.

  • Newton Poppleford CC - Lost by 1 Run

  • Newton Tracey CC - Cancelled

  • Bude CC - Won by 7 Wickets

  • Hatherleigh CC - Won by 211 runs (a club record)

This tour also saw the inaugural OLCC Grand Prix take place instead of the usual Newton Tracey fixture.  Congratulations Ali for winning that.

The traditional morning dip in Bude Sea Pool was enjoyed by the tourists before the game, as excellently portrayed by Goof.

Tour Joker Award - John Acland-Hood

Tortoiseless - Will MacKay
