When we can pry William away from his serious biking habit and get him out on the LPS ground, he generally saves 10 plus runs in the field and scores a 50.

His calculating mind, resolute attitude and natural sporting ability make him a captain's dream; often anchoring the innings, backing up the bowler in field and able to hold up an end with the ball. He has certainly shifted from the 'Bowler who can bat' to the 'Batsman who hardly bowls' (like 18 balls a year - if pushed) - but he has transported all that unfulfilled bowling energy into ensuring that he contributes significantly to the team total. He has finished two seasons with the highest average and he loves a red-inker. And it's all done with such style. A late cut, stand-and-admire drive or a paddle sweep; all with finely applied technique. Not that he deals in many boundaries; his fitness on the bike and previously in running road races is evident in his appetite for quick two's and three's (batting partner pending).

Quick-witted as he is fleet of foot; Will is a fantastic OLCC asset, a great friend, a scholar and a Gent.
